Job Summary: The Dean of Enrollment Management and Student Success is an administrative position reporting to the Vice President of Student Affairs. The Dean is responsible for providing leadership and coordination for enrollment management activities at Red Rocks Community College (RRCC). The Dean of Enrollment Management and Student Success has responsibility and oversight for multiple Student Affairs departments including: Student Outreach and Retention, Enrollment Services, First Year Experience (FYE), Career Services and Internships, Marketing and Communications and the Student Information Systems Specialist. The Dean will co- chair the RRCC Enrollment Management Team and works collaboratively across the college to develop a strategic enrollment management plan. Description of Position Provide leadership and supervision for assigned areas, including program development, fiscal oversight, planning, assessment and evaluation. Review and monitor budgets in all areas of oversight. Regularly re-evaluate the effectiveness of RRCC’s recruitment, admission, registration, FYE and marketing initiatives to ensure alignment with the strategic goals and direction of the College. Provide leadership & planning for enrollment management including services and initiatives that support student access, retention and completion. Work closely with executive leadership to review and analyze data on student enrollment and success to shape strategic direction. Creatively develop and utilize existing and emerging technologies to communicate and build relationships with students, families, and high schools. Deploy appropriate technology and other tools and resources within enrollment management to increase recruitment, retention and completion. Gather and analyze enrollment data to inform data driven enrollment management decisions. Participate in interactive communication with the Vice President of Student Affairs, conferring, consulting, and making recommendations for assessing & improving programs and services within Student Affairs Division. Participate in college committees, councils, and teams, including but not limited to: Student Affairs Leadership Team, Diversity Council, Enrollment Management Team, Student Outreach and Retention Team, AQIP Team. Other job-related duties as assigned or requested by the Vice President of Student Affairs. Qualifications Required: Master’s degree (or higher) in Student Development, Higher Education, Counseling or related field from an accredited institution. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in enrollment management, student service administration or related administrative position in higher education. Three (3) years of demonstrated leadership skills, including supervisory and budgetary responsibilities in student services. Demonstrated experience working effectively with students, faculty, and staff of diverse backgrounds and evidence of a commitment to creating an inclusive learning & work environment. Experience in assessment and program development. Experience gathering and analyzing enrollment data. Preferred: Doctorate in higher education or related field. Community college administrative experience. Experience with Banner or related student information technologies & systems. Membership in or experience working in diverse communities and supporting the success of students and staff from racial, ethnic, and gender backgrounds that are underrepresented in the College. Required knowledge, skills & abilities: Effective written and oral communication. Problem solving skills including ability to find innovative solutions Ability to work as a part of an administrative team and foster a team.
