After finishing at the top of his class in medical school and obtaining an MBA in healthcare system design, Dr. Ronen Friedman, CEO of West Arvada Orthodontics, sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury only three days later, which happened to be one day prior to marrying the lovely Dr. Jennifer Friedman. After spending more than four years in bed and undergoing 70 neurosurgical procedures, Ronen, who luckily had the knowledge to perform medical procedures on himself, was able to slowly get out of bed. Although the initial several months he was only able to take several steps per day, nine months later he was able to climb Pikes Peak. Two weeks later he began performing medical research, this time concentrating on Traumatic Brain Injuries and Spinal Cord Injuries. It is this unlikely survival and recovery story that has profoundly affected both Ronen and Jenny Friedman prompted them to design West Arvada Orthodontics to be able to serve every member of our wonderful community, including those with a history of Traumatic Brain Injuries, Spinal Cord Injuries, Autism Spectrum Disorder, And Other Neurological Disorders.
This is the story of what it takes to overcome a severe life-threatening injury, subsequently spending years relegated to a bed in severe pain, only to rise from the ashes, and with great assistance from his wonderful wife Jenny, to return to the world of the living and dedicate his life to improving the lives of others in pain; be it from injury or by helping his wife perform truly miraculous treatments alleviating the pain of those who have been suffering for years, by opening the airway of children and adults and doing so in a one-of-a-kind orthodontic clinic designed to provide not only the best quality treatment for the members of our community but also to do so in an evidence-based environment which took more than a year to design, designed to be extremely relaxing, allowing each patient to choose the level stimuli they would like, while other patients can simultaneously do the same. It is truly an honor to be able to utilize the decades of research in both multiorgan trauma and neurotrauma in order to help members of our wonderful community and to see their beautiful smiles.
There will be an entertaining presentation with funny pictures after surgery, which will involve pots and pans for no reason, pictures of rock climbing and mountain biking, and of course, food and libations will be served! We will be going for a community bike ride or hike after the talk with swag and attire designed for whatever mother nature throws at us before suddenly changing. I love the flatirons!
