- Kerri Moncrieff will be guiding a discussion on making the shift from in-person to online public speaking. With the quick shift from in-person to online meetings and speaking engagements, there are key changes to strengthen your public speaking and presentation skills, build your confidence, and establish rapport with the audience - virtually. We will hear from Kerri about her best practices, tips, and tricks to take your speaking skills virtually and successfully.
- Kerri Moncrieff's Bio: Since the age of five, Kerri Moncrieff has been aware of the power of being able to communicate well when she moved to the US from across the pond and started getting asked: "why do you sound that way?" She earned a Master's in Rhetoric and Intercultural Communication from Colorado State University and spent the majority of her career in higher education and higher education consulting. In 2017, she entered the hemp industry in Colorado and founded Hemp Lass, LLC. With a mission to educate the consumer, engage teams, and empower entrepreneurship within the industry. In 2019, she took her experience in developing competent and authentic speakers outside the classroom. She started Dragonfly Speaking, focusing on speaker brand strategy and training for those who want to grow their business and mission through public speaking, virtually and in person.

BEFORE JOINING
- Try to use a computer for best audio and video
- Join the call a couple minutes early to ensure the software is working, make sure your video and microphone are working, and mute yourself
- Sit with light facing you, behind your screen, away from a window
- Adjust your camera to ensure your face is fully visible
- If you have not used Zoom before, download the application on your device
o For your computer click here and load the software
o For your phone download the application in the app store
Once in them meeting, swipe to see the agenda and the opposite to see the chat window
DURING THE MEETING
- Stay muted if you are not speaking
- If you have a microphone on a cord, try to keep it away from your hair and clothing to avoid rustling noises
- Look at the camera while speaking if you?re comfortable so it feels like you?re making eye contact!
- Avoid multitasking ~ everyone wants your full attention!
- Use the chat function to send messages
