Friends of Jefferson County Public Library are proud to announce that the acclaimed author Tiffany Quay Tyson will appear at the Friends Annual Meeting on Friday, March 13, 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, at the Wheat Ridge Rec Center in Wheat Ridge.
Enjoy lunch with your fellow booklovers and Friends of JCPL followed by a lively talk and Q&A with author Tiffany Quay Tyson! Tiffany Quay Tyson's novel THE PAST IS NEVER is the winner of the Willie Morris Award for Southern Fiction, the Janet Heidinger Kafka Prize, the Mississippi Institute of Arts and Letters Award for Fiction, and the Mississippi Author for Fiction selected by the Mississippi Library Association. The Southern Independent Booksellers Alliance selected it as an 'Okra Pick'. Her debut novel THREE RIVERS was a finalist for the Colorado Book Award and Mississippi Institute for Arts and Letters fiction award. Tyson grew up in Jackson, Mississippi, and graduated from Delta State University. She currently lives in Denver, where she serves on the faculty for Lighthouse Writers Workshop and Lighthouse Young Writers Program.
“Haunting and beautiful, steeped in history and myth, The Past is Never unwinds the darkest knots of what binds families together and reveals the marvels and monsters which lie within us all. In lucid, piercing prose, Tiffany Quay Tyson pushes to the raw edge of life, where the real and the unreal almost touch. This is great southern fiction.” —Kent Wascom, award-winning author of The Blood of Heaven and Secessia.
If you are not a Friends member, come join our community of booklovers who support JCPL! You can attend by purchasing a non-member ticket or event ticket/membership combo.
