Description
The address is: 6490 Carr St. Arvada CO 80004

In April we will be visiting Mirror Image Arts:
Mirror Image Arts' mission is to disrupt the pipeline to prison through Restorative Practices and Theatre™. Our Passion and Purpose is to imagine and create collective liberation for all. Having just one consistent, caring adult in a young person’s life can drastically change their future. At MIA our efforts in three distinct focus areas expand access to trusted adults to youth who have been traumatized, marginalized, and underserved.
We work with youth (ages 7-21) in schools and detention centers. Through our work, we aim to give youth access to the arts while opening spaces for them to express themselves through play, imagination, and dialogue. To feel valued, seen, and heard. To be experts in their own lives and have the opportunity to make mistakes and come back stronger. To practice their resilience and their potential.
We recently moved our office to Arvada and where we will launch a reintegration center in July of 2024. Through wraparound services, apprenticeship opportunities and advocacy, we will fully embrace, support and welcome back our youth leaving the legal system, creating communities of transformation.
